I couldn't check out most of the SID patches in the Archive. The 3.03 editor
thought the version was too early, and the 2.10 editor claimed that it was
an invalid file. Looks OK in a text editor though. Strange. Ah well. I made
my own today, just for fun.

SID_seq.pch is fokusing on the sequencing of waveform changes, and not the
cross-modulation stuff. It can be added if you want it. Somebody complained
that the Modular sounds too good, so I added a noise mix in the end, to
emulate the high noisefloor of the SID-chip. :-)
It defaults to a silly little drum-patch. :-)

Somebody posted a TB-303 patch before. It's pretty good, except that the
slide didn't work as a TB-303 does. The slide adds both portamento and a
"hold". So I added that in tb-303fix.pch.
It still doesn't have the thin nasal sound of a real TB-303 in my opinion,
but what the heck. It sound good, and I'll probably continue using ReBirth
if I want a TB-303 anyway... :-)

While we are on the topic of emulating old synths, one fo the first things I
did with the modular was a Pro-One emulator before, since I just loved that
synth for it's fat basses. I have gotten some fat basses out of
Pro-One-bass.pch too. The modulation area of a Pro-One is virtually
impossible to emulate in a useful way, so you probably want to throw that
part out and modulate things the way you like it anyway. I think the main
features of the Pro-one is the adding of waveforms, instead of just
selecting, and the oscillator sync. Thats what makes it possible to make
such oompfy fat basses. The patch is trying to emulate a Pro-One, and even
includes a sequencer. :-) Now, I'm no longer particularily into making
emulations, so I made a version that made more sense, in that it is more
flexible, but has the features I found useful in the Pro-One. And, of
course, it's called Pro-Two.pch. :-)

Happy Tweaking!
